P2000 Vs P30 - Heckler & Koch manufactures the highest quality ammunition in the world. From submachine guns to rifles to handguns. The company has earned a reputation for its strong and reliable weapons. I'm amazed The quality and workmanship in the P30L in .40 S&W showed when I reviewed that gun a few months ago, and the P2000 series of guns was no exception. They are the same gun. (At least inside.) They also share an owner's manual.
I borrowed a camera that technically works. (But we don't think it's ever been fired before) P2000SK (subcompact) for review by Duane. good friend He has one in his gun shop that he let me take home to write this article. (Not a load) He lends me a loan... He's a nice guy (not only that...you have to know him!).
P2000 Vs P30
So I took the little one home and walked past him. Let's look at the gun first. then look at the target Let's finish with a story about the company.
P30 Short (?)
The P2000SK is a smaller version of the P2000. This HK pistol is the son of the HK USP, if you will. Ergonomics have been improved with newer models. It is designed to reduce handling pressure while increasing comfort during handling and firing.
The P2000 is based on a short refined Browning cam action and a beveled barrel as the USP.
*The chart below shows the night vision version that came with 3 magazines, but the one I shot had two.)

Thinking Real Hard About A Hk P30
We have seen this gun come in a variety of flavors. The photos I took used the model L.E.M.A.O. Trigger â Enforcement Law. Useless actions only What does that mean? In my previous review of the P30L I spent some time talking about the DA/SA modes that the pistol uses. along with a decocking button on the back of the slide. This pistol does not have that button. Which makes it the L.E.M.D.AO version.

L.E.M.D.AO trigger is a description of the D.AO trigger system in which the hammer is partially pre-cocked. Therefore, less pressure is required to activate it. From the specs, we can see that the DA pull will be around 11.5 pounds with the next sight around 4.5 pounds. We are now used to CZ-style DA/SA triggers, which have a hammer pull of around 12-13 pounds. then goes into SA mode when the hammer is cocked - my SAR version, the CZ K2P, does that and it's a good indicator. The difference with the trigger HK L.E.M.D.O. The hammer breaks – it's DA all the time. That light is I confirm that the trigger pull on both the first DA shot and subsequent SA shots is lighter.
The âP2000 SK is equipped with a modified trigger system for law. Introduced in 2001 as the USP Compact âLEMâ (Law Enforcement Modification), this unique pre-block hammer system combines the advantages of cocked striker components. With the double action hammer system, the LEM / CDA trigger pull is reduced to 7.3 - 8.5 pounds (32.5 - 37.8 Newtons) compared to the 12-15 lbs (53.4-66.7 Newtons) found on many revolvers standard dual action. modification with approved HK ammunition can bring the trigger into the 5.5 lb (24.5 Newton) range. The Hk Lem Trigger Explained
Okay...we get it...the trigger pull is lighter, yes, but that's a big deal. You who are revolver shooters appreciate the smoother, lighter DA pull - I know. It was better than any other HK trigger I have reviewed. But… it should be. That's the whole point.

First, the publication of the magazine. This gun looks like a real German handgun. Most non-American (Walther PPS M1, I'm talking to you!) use a safety paddle disconnect under the trigger. This is a very ambidextrous way to mark the magazine drop mode. Whether you are right-handed or left-handed, it works. I was pulling out the mag without thinking about it.

As you can see, this mag release is easy to use from both sides. Another thing I like is the ambi slide release…
Here it is on the right side of the gun and you can see the "gap" where the pin is pushed through to remove the slide. Another thing that really impressed me was the length of the lever HK puts to cancel the slide…the length gives you more leverage when you push it down. Make it easier to release the slide Good idea HK.
I went through a lot of ammunition when I tested this gun. I am not sponsored by the federal government or any other military company. So what I shoot is what I have on hand… Factory “white box” Winchester 115-grain loads and many of my favorite 9mm pistols. Over 4 tablets of longshot powder I did not fire any defensive rounds. Here are some missile numbers from both of these loads...
This proves nothing other than what these two loads are doing in this gun. I only joined because some of you are a lot like me â I want to know how the shorter barrel will handle different loads. I don't want 40 different loads going through this gun. because in today's time we have a weapon optimized for the short barrel which is very effective. You will be well served to run your favorite defense through this gun and be confident in its effectiveness. There are billions of YouTube videos of men. I (who has more time than me) tested 9mm rounds in gel bullets/milk jugs/denim layers/hippopotamus leather (okay, I'm kidding)/etc. Suffice it to say, this gun is accurate and reliable. You can see that both targets show the relevant groups. Mine fired a little low, with WWB very much aimed at the target. The target on the left shows 10 rounds, and the right shows 20. When I review a gun like this "performing well with a good reputation and "street cred" I wasn't too worried about any target I shot with it. and pick it up where I will I sent dozens of my loads and factory loads. so it's quick and easy.
